The NALMCO 2022 Spring Seminar was held on March 1-3 in Kissimmee, FL, where nearly 100 participants gathered to network and learn from industry experts across a wide range of interesting and timely topics.
The meeting centered around a tour of the facility of host sponsor Lighting Resources LLC. Members saw first-hand their processes for proper handling, packaging, and inventory tracking for the various Universal Wastes managed at Lighting Resources’ Ocala, FL operation. During the tour, attendees were able to help physically process lamps and follow the material through their state-of-the-art lamp recycling machine.
Other meeting highlights included 10 rotating Learning Lab sessions, where members heard from various companies across the lighting industry on exciting topics including networked lighting controls, incorporating an EV charging station offering into lighting management business, and horticulture lighting.
Overall, the Spring Seminar was a great chance for NALMCO members to meet in person, spend some time networking and having fun while also gaining valuable knowledge about the industry. Members are already looking forward gathering again at the Annual Convention and Trade, scheduled for October 16-19, 2022, in Glendale, AZ.
Scott Mendelsohn, NALMCO Board President, said of the meeting, “I was thrilled with the turnout NALMCO had for our Spring Seminar. This was an amazing opportunity for our members to not only reconnect, but to also get caught up with the latest trends in the ever-changing lighting industry. The NALMCO board has received positive feedback from the attendees, and most are looking forward to our fall event in Arizona.”
