EdisonReport has learned that Current has had a layoff that will effect approximately 25 people. A company spokesperson said is is regrettable for anyone impacted but pointed out that 25 is less than 1% of their workforce. He also pointed out that Current has approximately 50 jobs that are open. He explained, “The recent LightFair interactions have further increased the areas of opportunity, and will drive continued investments (Controls, Complex Environments, Architectural Lighting.)”
There are always layoffs after mergers, and this one seems relatively small given the size of the two companies.
