In the complaint, mate alleges that Environmental Lights is sourcing and selling various private label power supply products imported from China that infringe six of mate’s US patents.
“mate has taken this action in view of Environmental Lights continuous disregard to mate’s patent rights and further to protect the network of installers and other customers implicated by Environmental Light’s clear patent infringement,” said mate co- founder JD Upton.
The lawsuit alleges that Environmental Lights has infringed and continues to infringe at least one claim of U.S. Patent Nos. 8,525,446; 8,957,601; 9,049,759; 9,078,310; 9,320,093; and 9,591,713, and that such infringement is willful.
