Position Overview: The Lighting Product Specification Engineer at Elite Lighting is responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive specification sheets for our lighting products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, and quality control experts, to ensure that accurate and up-to-date product specifications are readily available for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specification Sheet Creation: Develop detailed specification sheets for new and existing lighting products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Product Information Management: Maintain a central repository of product data, including technical specifications, performance data, and compliance information.
- Technical Writing: Translate complex technical information into clear and concise language for use in specification sheets, marketing materials, and product documentation.
- Product Compliance: Ensure that product specification sheets accurately reflect compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications, such as UL, DLC, and ENERGY STAR.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and quality control teams to gather and validate product data and specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor changes in product design, features, and performance, and update specification sheets accordingly.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on specification sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency in product information.
- Customer Support: Assist customers and sales teams by providing accurate and detailed product information in a timely manner.
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of specification sheets, ensuring they are easily accessible to relevant teams.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on how to use specification sheets effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with technical data.
- Familiarity with lighting products and industry standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Job Setting: Our company is in Commerce, we are local to the Commerce Casino, Citadel, a variety of eateries, and near many local freeway entrances. We offer parking to all employees in an enclosed and monitored parking structure. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, or from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
