The Opportunity:
The Product Development Team maintains Keystone’s core values and business goals by creating new products and improving the performance, cost, and/or quality of existing products. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of the technical aspects of lighting projects, from initial planning to RMA claims through the warranty period.
Additionally, Keystone’s production team is responsible for pre-installing accessories on lighting fixtures and requires direction and support from Engineering in order to succeed. The role also involves training and education of customers, sales, RMA associates, and other less technically experienced product development team members. There may be occasional involvement in new product development work.

Your Impact:
- Act as a primary point of contact for field service needs. Perform remote and on-site support, including product commissioning, troubleshooting, audits, and other services required to ensure smooth execution of all stages of lighting projects.
- Manage resolution of advanced RMA cases that need deeper technical investigation
- Provide engineering support for the production team through troubleshooting and the development and maintenance of tools, processes, and documentation
- Educate and train sales, customers, and less technically experienced product development team members on our products and services
- Perform testing and technical evaluations for new product designs
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate product designs and/or, execute, improvement projects based on testing and market feedback
- Conduct product compatibility testing with other lighting devices on the market
- Occasional assistance with sales/marketing display construction and maintenance
- Occasional travel to tradeshows
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field is preferred, associate’s degree would be considered. Related experience will also be considered.
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
- Strong verbal and written communicator with a high attention to detail
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with lighting technologies is a plus
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Eager and able to learn everyday and are a positive team-player
- Ability to coordinate across multiple parties throughout the day while maintaining positive communication style and record of all interactions
- Open to fluctuating travel: Regular travel may be required (<30%). Travel will include occasional travel to trade shows and more regular travel to job sites across the country, dependent on company needs.
