Luxxbox acoustic lighting fixtures are specified for a wide range of architectural lighting solutions ranging from office fit outs to libraries and higher education, and have garnered several international design awards.

Position Description

The Western Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of driving revenue towards achievement of the assigned sales budget, including management of all sales agent partnerships in the region, developing and nurturing specifier relationships, maximizing presentation opportunities, new business development, new project acquisition, and, most importantly, tracking and closing project opportunities. This position reports to the VP of Sales, North America.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the ”business” of the assigned region through a strong partnership with sales agents
  • Diligently building and managing a schedule to insure the maximum amount of presentation time, with both the sales agent’s sales teams and specifiers across the region, in person and virtually
  • Provide training for sales agents, especially for new product launches
  • Participate in annual sales agent sales budget development exercise, and manage each sales agent to success throughout the year
  • Thoroughly embrace our CRM system, through robust data input, status updates, and constant tracking to “surround” every project in order to drive it to closure
  • Prepare quotes, as required, through the integration of the ERP and CRM systems
  • Involvement in lighting industry events, such as IES, IALD, DLF, LEDucation, as well as those scheduled by sales agents
  • Assist other Sales Team members, as well as Management as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent educational and/or professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural lighting industry with proven ability to manage and nurture the business partnership with agents
  • Ideally based in California
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Experience and skill level with CRM systems (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, HubSpot, )
  • Strong presentation, listening, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable discussing financial aspects of a project, as well as articulating a value proposition
  • A passion for sales and “fire in the belly”
  • A proven team player who understands the power of teamwork
