The GSA and DOE Issue RFI for Sustainable Building Technologies

GSA and DOE Issue RFI

The General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have launched a new initiative to advance sustainability in commercial buildings through their Green Proving Ground (GPG) program. On August 1, 2024, they issued a request for information (RFI) seeking emerging technologies that enhance energy efficiency, decarbonization, and occupant health in buildings. This initiative invites submissions of commercially ready technologies for evaluation in real-world settings, leveraging GSA’s extensive real estate portfolio and DOE’s Better Buildings partners. The RFI is part of a broader effort to accelerate the deployment of sustainable technologies across the country, contributing to a greener and more resilient built environment. Submissions are open until September 13, 2024.
