The Western Regional LED Sales Manager goal is to increase sales of all LED driver & control related business in the North American market and enhance competitive strength in the market. The Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of driving revenue towards achievement of the assigned sales budget, including management of Lighting OEM’s and Channel Sales in the region. Developing new business and maintaining existing business is a daily priority. This position reports to the VP of Sales, North America.
We are looking for an experienced LED Driver and/or Component Sales Manager. The ideal candidate would know the largest lighting companies in the industry and have extensive experience working with Engineers and Buyers from these companies. The candidate should reside in the Los Angeles, CA area or have a strong knowledge and proven track record of travelling to this area. The candidate should also know of and/or have experience with other lighting companies in the entire Western Region of the US, Canada and Mexico.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the business of the assigned region through strong relationships with Lighting OEM customers and Channel Sale Representatives
- Prepare plan, develop and execute North American LED business team growth and strategy
- Report to Manager, monthly (1) detailed sales efforts including new leads, win and lost cases, opportunities, changes in on-going and potential projects and business, target accounts as well as its update; (2) Next month plan including project follow up, actions to take; (3) Submit next month travel plans and expense plan for approval
- Determine customer needs, and provide application engineering support for product and solution customer required
- Working with CRM System Salesforce including application engineering, project management, representative network, distribution and customer service for pursuing more business
- Participation in marketing activities, such as white-paper creation, trade show organization and attendance, market research and investigation
- Develop and implement an annual sales plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational and/or professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the LED lighting industry
- Ideally based in California (Los Angeles area)
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience and skill level with CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Strong presentation, listening, and negotiation skills
