Tivoli Introduces Vast EX: A New Standard in Exterior Grazing Fixtures
At LEDucation 2025, the EdisonReport’s C-Suite Series welcomed Daniel Tristan of Tivoli Lighting to discuss the company’s latest innovations. In a lively conversation at the show, Tristan introduced the Vast EX, Tivoli’s new marine-grade exterior grazing fixture that’s already turning heads across the industry.
Introducing the Vast EX: Robust and Flexible
Designed for robust outdoor applications, the Vast EX is a line voltage fixture (120V–277V) available in both static white and RGBW. What sets it apart, Tristan explained, is a proprietary adjustable mounting bracket that allows the fixture to be extended up to three inches from the building façade and tilted to achieve an optimal grazing effect.
“The adjustability of the bracket is key,” said Tristan. “You can fine-tune the angle and distance for maximum visual impact.”
The fixture’s line voltage design also brings a significant advantage: long run lengths. According to Tristan, a single power feed can support up to 100 feet of product, eliminating the need for additional power supplies—a major benefit for installers and designers alike.
Control flexibility is another highlight of the Vast EX. The static white version supports ELV, MLV, and 0-10V dimming, while the RGBW model is DMX-compatible and can be addressed via RDM tools, auto-addressing, or pre-programmed by the factory for seamless integration on job sites.
Tristan noted that the product was developed in direct response to industry feedback. “Designers and contractors kept asking, ‘When is the exterior version coming out?’ So we took that feedback and built a fixture we’re really proud of,” he said.
The response at LEDucation has been overwhelmingly positive. “Everyone loves it,” said Tristan. “It’s been great to reconnect with so many friends and industry partners.”
Tivoli’s Legacy: 50 Years of Innovation
Tivoli, which is celebrating 50 years in the lighting business, began with a focus on safety lighting and has evolved into a leader in architectural solutions. From its early days selling miles of incandescent-lit polycarbonate tubes, the company has grown into a trusted name in linear lighting innovation.
As for tariffs and market fluctuations, Tristan said Tivoli remains nimble. “We work closely with our customers to adjust pricing when needed. It’s all about staying flexible to keep projects moving.”
With the Vast EX, Tivoli reinforces its reputation for thoughtful engineering, aesthetic precision, and responsiveness to the lighting community’s needs.
