Inventronics CEO Nancy Huang Shares Vision at LightFair 2025

Nancy Huang

At LightFair 2025 in Las Vegas, EdisonReport launched its C-Suite Series with a compelling conversation between Randy Reid and Nancy Huang, the newly appointed CEO of Inventronics. In this exclusive interview, Huang discussed her journey within the company, plans for the future, and thoughts on industry trends.

Rising Through the Ranks

Nancy Huang’s ascent to CEO is a story of commitment and versatility. After graduating with a degree in International Economics and Trade, she joined Inventronics in 2009 as an overseas sales representative.

“I’ve been with the company for almost 16 years,” Huang shared. “During that time, I’ve worked in a variety of roles—sales, CEO assistant, HR, operations, and even mergers and acquisitions.”

This breadth of experience has given her a unique, well-rounded perspective that she brings to her leadership role.

Breaking Barriers as a Female CEO

When asked whether being a woman in a male-dominated industry posed challenges, Huang responded thoughtfully.

“It’s both a challenge and an advantage,” she said. “There may be more men in this field, but I think being a woman brings a different kind of strength and perspective to leadership.”

A New Role, A Familiar Mission

Huang officially stepped into her CEO role just one week prior to LightFair. While she has no plans to overhaul the company’s core principles—mission, vision, and values—she does want to recalibrate its focus.

“If there’s one big change I want to make, it’s to speed up how we serve our customers,” she said. “We’ve spent a lot of time on mergers and acquisitions, which can cause us to look inward. Now it’s time to shift our energy outward—faster responses, better inventory management, and stronger technical support.”

Navigating Tariff Uncertainty

With unpredictable tariffs affecting global manufacturing strategy, Huang emphasized the importance of Inventronics’ diversified operations.

“We’re not just in China anymore,” she explained. “We have operations in India and Mexico, and partnerships in countries like Bulgaria, Hungary, Brazil, and Vietnam. We’ve been preparing for this kind of uncertainty for years.”

Though the future of tariffs—especially the potential 145% rate—is unclear, Huang believes adaptability is key.

A CEO on the Move

Unlike her predecessor, Marshall Miles, who lived in the U.S., Huang is based in mainland China. However, she plans to be just as accessible to customers.

“My first trip as CEO is to the U.S., and my next will be to Mexico,” she noted. “I started in sales, and I still love meeting customers face to face.”

Impressions of LightFair 2025

Huang has attended LightFair before, and while this year’s event didn’t quite meet her “highest bar,” she found it worthwhile.

“The traffic and meetings have been great,” she said. “I do think the environment has changed, and change is good. Maybe some exhibitors weren’t fully prepared, but I’m curious to see how things progress.”

Looking Ahead

Randy Reid concluded the interview by wishing Huang success and reiterating the industry’s need for a strong Inventronics. “Our industry needs a strong Inventronics,” Reid said. “We wish you much continued success.”
