Howard Lewis has shared the below statement with the EdisonReport.
“After 47 years of working in the Lighting Industry, it is with mixed emotions that I announce my decision to retire. This chapter of my life has been filled with invaluable experiences, learning opportunities, and most importantly, relationships that I will treasure forever.
When I first entered the field, I couldn’t have imagined the remarkable journey that lay ahead. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with talented individuals as the industry evolved to Solid-State Technology, and I am proud to have contributed to its growth, while witnessing firsthand the incredible advancements and transformations that have taken place since the days of Fluorescent and HID.
As I transition into this next phase of my life, I reflect with gratitude on all the experiences, challenges, and successes we’ve shared. I am deeply grateful for the trust, support, and camaraderie of each of you—whether as colleagues, clients, or partners.
It’s the people who make this industry what it is, and I am truly lucky to have worked alongside so many of you.
I look forward to embracing this next chapter by expanding my hobby of refurbishing Historical and Experimental Aircraft, and Mentoring the Middle & High School Students of Teen Aviation of New Jersey, along with new adventures in travel with my wife Mimi.
I do plan on staying active in the industry for the foreseeable future as a member of the Industry Progress Report Committee, and as a Board member for both the IES Philadelphia Section and National Lighting Bureau.
I will always cherish the connections I’ve made and will be happy to stay in touch. Please don’t hesitate to reach out… my personal email address is[email protected].
Thank you all once again for the incredible ride. I wish each of you continued success and fulfillment in the years ahead.”
