Bringing 30+ Years of Expertise and Enthusiasm

Carroll brings more than 30 years of lighting industry experience. She previously served as Regional Sales Manager for Lighting Services Inc from September 2022 to October 2025. Prior to that, she held specification sales roles at Illuminations, Inc. She spent over four years as Senior Specification Sales Manager at Acuity Brands. Earlier in her career, she was Director of Sales, East Coast, North America for Xicato. She has built strong relationships with designers, engineers and stakeholders across the region.

Over the holidays your humble editor had the chance to speak with Megan about her new position. She shared her excitement for the role and emphasized how much she values IES’s mission to advance the art and science of quality lighting. She told me she’s eager to work with the IES team to create meaningful partnerships and new opportunities for members. Her enthusiasm was contagious. Based on our conversation and her deep industry background, I think she will do a great job. In fact, I know of no better person to do that job than Megan Carroll!

“I am honored to join the IES at such a transformative time for the organization and the lighting industry,” Carroll said in the Society’s announcement. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand the critical role IES plays in advancing lighting education, technical excellence and professional development. I look forward to working with the talented IES team and our members to strengthen the Society’s impact and expand the value we deliver to lighting professionals worldwide.”
