Bell & McCoy Companies Acquires Next Generational Lighting

HOUSTON, TEXAS [February, 2026] — Bell & McCoy Companies today announced the purchase of Next Generational Lighting located in Georgia. Next Generational Lighting represents the leading manufacturers in lighting technology and controls. This acquisition strengthens Bell & McCoy’s distribution capabilities and deepens spec-side relationships in the region.

The acquisition of NextGen is a natural fit for us, said Brennen Matthews, BMLC General Manager. “They bring a strong team and aligned values. Together, we’re positioned to serve our customers and manufacturers with enhanced capabilities moving forward. This is an important step in our broader growth strategy for Georgia.”

“Unlike many acquisitions that struggle with cultural and operational overlap, this partnership leverages complementary strengths, said Tim Duff, co-owner of NextGen Lighting. The combined organization will deliver improved responsiveness, technical coverage, and project execution across the territory.”

With this acquisition, Bell & McCoy Companies and Next Generational Lighting are positioned to accelerate growth, expand market reach, and provide unmatched lighting solutions across Georgia.
