JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Technical Sales/Quotations Specialist is responsible for inside sales and technical support as well as generating quotations based on projects and customer needs.  Responsible for quoting, competitor crosses, value-engineering and providing accurate pricing, product codes, technical information and lead times in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inside Technical Sales responsible for promoting JESCO products.
  • Interface with customers/sales representatives/internal teams to provide quotations, job submittals, technical information, product availability, and suggest alternative product solutions where necessary.
  • Provide project take-offs and job layout.
  • Generate accurate and timely quotations.
  • Answer product questions, provide technical support.
  • Trouble-shoot on- and off-site as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with sales representatives, customers, internal support teams to build rapport.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, job files and quotes records to facilitate smooth transition to other departments.
  • Maintain quotations database and follow up on quotations.
  • Other duties, as needed.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in lighting a plus.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings a plus.
  • Working knowledge of CAD a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite a plus.
  • Ability to analyze technical information in detail.
  • Strong customer orientation and salesmanship.
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver excellent results in a fast-paced environment and tight time frames.
