Acuity’s Rick Earlywine Turns Purple

Love knows no bounds – it can even make a diehard Packers fan don Vikings colors.  Or, at least that was the case with Acuity’s Rick Earlywine, who earlier this week posted a picture of himself in all purple in support of the fight against Alzheimer’s.  “I will wear this purple anytime if it will help end this disease,” he said.  Rick lost his mother in 2015 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s.

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month.  It is also when the summer solstice occurs – the longest day of the year.  In an effort to “outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s,” the Alzheimer’s Association has adopted the upcoming summer solstice as a day of national awareness and fundraising.

Cheryl English is leading a fundraising effort with a goal of $10k to honor those who have lost a loved one and those who continue to fight.  You can find a link to her fundraising page here.  Join the effort and help us #ENDALZ.
