I founded EdisonReport in 1999, inspired by a two-day strategic planning session with the IES. My initial mission was straightforward: to advocate for the IES and the lighting industry, a commitment that remains steadfast to this day. For me, EdisonReport was never about clicks or revenue—it was to make our industry stronger.
In the early days, my identity remained a secret, but over time, people started to uncover who I was. This journey reached a turning point in 2012 at Light + Building in Frankfurt, where I publicly disclosed my role through a brief video, propelling EdisonReport’s growth.
Last week, in Frankfurt, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of EdisonReport. Surrounded by a few close friends, we had a nice celebration and I reminisced about the journey.
I am humbled and honored to serve as the editor of the EdisonReport, as it is by far the best job of my career.
Thank you!
