Pharos, Lutron Expand Integration Capabilities

Pharos Architectural Controls and Lutron Electronics expand their joint integration capabilities, enhancing their collaborative efforts in the lighting control industry. According to the press release, Pharos has been collaborating with Lutron to integrate Pharos Designer systems with Lutron’s commercial systems through the use of Pharos’ flexible IO modules. This integration now extends to Lutron’s flagship commercial control offering, Athena, providing greater flexibility and control for commercial lighting installations.

Pharos’ Designer range, known for its diverse selection of controllers including the award-winning Lighting Playback Controller (LPC), is now compatible with Lutron’s Athena system. Additionally, Pharos systems can now integrate with Lutron Vive, a wireless commercial lighting control system designed to enhance efficiency, comfort, and productivity in both new and existing commercial buildings. The press release states that these integrations are fully secured using Lutron’s LEAP API integration protocol, ensuring high levels of protection for the systems.

The collaboration between Pharos and Lutron is further formalized by adding Lutron as a ‘Friend of Pharos’ on the Pharos website. This network of manufacturers, which share Pharos’ customer-centric ethos, aims to provide seamless integration projects, guaranteeing customers the benefits of both companies’ leading technologies without the risk of divided responsibilities.

Bas Hoksbergen, Commercial Director at Pharos Architectural Controls, expressed his satisfaction with the new integration capabilities, stating, “Combining Lutron and Pharos systems gives our users unprecedented control flexibility over both functional lighting, as well as dynamic lighting control.”

This collaboration promises to bring enhanced lighting control solutions to the commercial sector, leveraging the strengths of both Pharos’ and Lutron’s systems to offer improved functionality and security.
