Schaumberg, Ill., September 10, 2024: Schréder, a global leader in smart outdoor lighting solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Austin Ashe as President of Ligman Lighting USA. With over 15 years of experience in driving growth within the construction and lighting industries across both private and public sectors, Austin brings a wealth of expertise, particularly in hardware and IoT product development, sales and marketing, channel and partner development, as well as M&A.
Austin most recently served as Senior Director of Business Operations at Hyundai, where he built the commerical function at Supernal, a flying taxi (eVTOL) business and successfully launched its first commercial offering. Prior to Hyundai, Austin led the Industrial AI Solutions division at Amazon Web Services. Austin’s time in Tech came after a decade long career at GE Lighting where he held mutliple leadership roles across the organization including luminare sales and marketing, LED systems and power supply product management, and supported numerous acquisitions. Austin was also selected to lead the Smart Cities business where, as General Manager, he led the development, commercialization, and growth of the company’s outdoor IoT platforms.
In his new role at Ligman Lighting USA, Austin will be responsible for steering the brand’s continued growth and strategy, driving new product innovations, and fostering stronger relationships with customers and partners.
