Independent Contractor – Specification Sales Representative
 
Requirements:
 
  • Ability to grasp in-depth technical knowledge of our product and our competitors’ product
  • Ability to sell value and benefits of our products
  • Willing to put in the time and effort in researching, travelling, meeting and phoning people
  • Ability to assist the specifier and develop favourable view of our product by spend time on-site and dealing first hand with real issues
  • Ability to communicate with different types of people at many different levels and size of organization
  • Ability to provide the information the specifiers need
  • Ability to build relationship with clients
 
Duties include but not limited to:
 
  • Develop business plan and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive information
  • Develop annual sales targets and sales budgets 
  • Implement the sales strategies and plans to meet growth targets in assigned territory
  • Provide monthly incoming order forecasts for assigned territory to management
  • Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients while at the same time focused on profitability
  • Conduct calls with all specifier-architects, designers, engineers and/or contractors to assist, and provide technical information of our products
  • Provide timely feedback to top management regarding performance
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all prospects/projects while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports
  • Create, prepare, and conduct products and technical presentations
 
Internal / External Cooperation
 
  • Coordinate and with all other sales staff and marketing staff
  • Set examples for other sales staff in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
  • Conduct regular coaching and counseling with other sales staff to build professional and selling skills
  • Interact and cooperate with all company employees
 
Education:
  • University degree or college diploma in business administration or in a related field
