DES PLAINES, Ill. — March 20, 2013 — Juno Lighting Group®, a leader in high-quality, innovative commercial and residential lighting solutions, has been awarded one of three best-in-class awards by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and International Association of Lighting Designers for its Juno Trac-Master® T254L Cylindra™ track-mounted LED luminaire. Announced today at the LEDucation 7 lighting conference, the product was selected out of 99 entries as part of the fifth annualNext Generation Luminaires™ (NGL) Indoor Solid-State Lighting Design Competition, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DOE). The NGL competition recognizes and promotes excellence in the design of energy-efficient LED commercial lighting luminaires. The best-in-class designation is the highest award that can be received from NGL, and is selected based on overall high score and qualities that make the product stand out from the rest.
Known for its aesthetics and performance, the Trac-Master T254L Cylindra LED fixture provides professional-grade illumination for commercial applications with brilliant light that is up to 75 percent more efficient than equivalent halogen fixtures. The fixture provides users with outstanding color consistency, with chromaticity within a 3-step MacAdam Ellipse in each of the available four color temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K. The Trac-Master T254L Cylindra LED fixture also offers 50,000 hours of expected service life, which yields more than 10 years of maintenance-free operation in typical commercial applications.
