National Accounts Manager
The National Accounts Manager, reporting directly to the VP – Sales, Marketing & Service, has responsibility sales to the national account and energy services markets.

Responsibilities
• Manage company’s sales efforts in national account and ESCO channels
• Work with marketing department to acquire primary and secondary market resources to inform value propositions
• Engage in consultative selling to target accounts to truly understand client business models and add creative value to them.
• Formulate strategic account targets list for each channel segment
• Develop customizable email templates to provoke clients to schedule meetings with you
• Send out semi-custom targeted emails to specific targeted stakeholders within accounts and get meetings
• Travel nationally to develop new strategic sales channels and provoke prospects to partner with Vantage on their projects
• Exhibit and sell products at trade shows related to target markets
• Utilize video conference software to increase sales touch points with clients and increase efficiencies
• Foster close business relationships with key stakeholders within accounts
• Master Vantage product offering to add maximum value in customer interactions
• Train national accounts, ESCOs and grow lighting clients on Vantage Lighting products
• Design and administer unique incentive programs for national accounts and ESCOs to further encourage use of Vantage products
• Pipeline management of assigned accounts in company CRM; keep deals and associated details up-to-date and accurate
• Provide marketing department timely reporting on observed market characteristics, product opportunities
• Work effectively with Vantage product management and marketing functions to develop selling tools
• Provide well-informed annual and monthly sales estimates to manager

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
• 5-10 of related experience in technology driven lighting company; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience and proven track record partnering with national account distributors to grow sales for lighting manufacturers
• Experience and proven track record partnering with ESCOs to grow sales for lighting manufacturers
• Has existing relationships with national accounts or ESCOs to realize quick discretionary sales
• Consultative sales approach; works to understand each accounts unique attributes and needs
• Accountable; reliable and passionate about doing his or her part to ensure the success of all people in the company
• Proven track record of business development success in emerging lighting markets
• Competitive individual who is a self-starter and leads by example
• Knowledgeable about indoor commercial lighting products; commercial and spec-grade downlighting a plus
• Understands indoor lighting design principles to effectively guide customers
• Understands LED source technology and control integrations to effectively sell products for multiple use cases
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills; efficient and accurate written communication obligatory
• Collaborative mindset – ability to energize and activate plans across team members
• Effective cross functional team leadership to effectively rally Vantage around assigned accounts
• Curious mindset and unwillingness to accept unexpected results; Investigates to fully understand and prevent future problems
• Mature professional who works well with others when solving problems
• Ability to multitask, complete projects with tight deadlines
• Ability to learn, articulate, and support complex products and technologies
• Located in major U.S. market
