EdisonReport has learned that Signify will close their Collierville, TN plant. A spokesperson from Signify sent us the following statement:
“Signify will transition production of its Bodine emergency lighting solutions from its manufacturing facility in Collierville, Tennessee to its facility in Tijuana, Mexico. The transition will take place through the end of April 2021. By consolidating this production, Signify will improve operational efficiency and enhance its competitiveness to better serve its customers in a rapidly transforming lighting industry. Marketing, innovation and customer service teams will continue to operate out of Collierville.
This change will bring a reduction in workforce. This is always a difficult decision. We are committed to managing all matters related to the employees affected in a respectful and professional manner. We will provide these employees with resources and training to assist them through this transition.”
We have learned that marketing, innovation and customer service teams will continue to operate out of the Collierville facility.
