Job Title: National Lighting Specifications
Candidate will take a hands-on approach in growing our Lighting Line (Luce) nationally. Success will be achieved by building strong relationships with Specifiers, national accounts, and end-users in niche target markets. The candidate will work with Sales Managers, Agents & marketing to ensure specifications are generated and held through training, joint & cold calls and technical support.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Promote good will and a positive attitude towards the company
- Establish and maintain specification generating relationships with Engineers, Architects, Designers and owners to ensure Beghelli’s continued growth
- Regularly cold call new Specifiers & end users; establishing business relationships
- Introduce new products using samples demonstrating form, fit & function
- Assist in lighting design
- Report to team on market trends, competitive products, specification strengths & weaknesses and any issues of significance
- Register, pursue and close specifications sharing information with colleagues in and out of the region
- Keep abreast of new products and technologies through in-house training, external courses, trade publications, etc…
- Participate in trade shows and assist colleagues with presentations
- Other duties will be added & revised
Candidate Qualifications
- University or College graduate in a Business program
- 3-5 years sales / management experience in the lighting industry
- Lighting knowledge – IES, LC an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Customer focused and strong team spirit
- Knowledge of distribution channels
- Understanding of project closing process
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills & ability to multitask
- Must be able to travel on a regular basis
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Self-starter and able to work unsupervised
- Strong problem solving & decision making skills
