In November 2022, Current Lighting created the Transformation Focused Office (TFO) as a vehicle to accelerate the pace of our value creation throughout the company to serve our customers more efficiently and expand our profitable growth in the targeted markets.
Among several other actions to enable our journey toward this goal, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sriram Duvvuri as our new Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Customs.
Sriram brings more than 20 years of experience in commodity strategy, supply chain, manufacturing, new product introductions, and margin acceleration. Sriram has developed supplier relationships with some of the top brands globally and has conducted negotiations in ~31 countries and managed material spending from ~$300 million to ~$3 billion.
Some of Sriram’s short and medium-term priorities include:
- Fostering strong supplier partnership to grow together and drive innovation and sustainability in the lighting industry.
- Improving supplier on-time delivery, which is critical to achieving our commitment to best-in-class delivery performance to our customers.
- Optimizing end-to-end value by setting up a should cost and cash model and transparent fact-based negotiations; consolidating volumes with supplier partners who showcase best performance based on supplier scorecard and footprint strategy with supplier partners.
