Troubles at Saylite;  Reportedly Closing Doors in 60 Days Amid Conflicting Accounts

Your humble editor has received multiple reports about troubles at Saylite.

According to two sources that I spoke with, Saylite announced to their employees today that they will be closing their doors in 60 days. This includes the Lights Fantastic showrooms in Dallas, Austin, and Houston, as well as Mobern Lighting. Various sources have provided different accounts of the situation.

However, other sources suggest that only the Lights Fantastic showrooms will be closing.  I contacted the Austin Lights Fantastic showroom, and they confirmed they were indeed closing.

On the Saylite website, there is a video from three years ago featuring CEO Jon Sayah. According to his LinkedIn page, Jon Sayah is now retired. We called the main number on the Saylite website and left a voicemail but have not received a response. Chris Armstrong is listed as the current CEO of Saylite.

Saylite is funded through Core Industrial Partners.  According to the Core website, they list Saylite under their current investments.

In 2019, EdisonReport presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Larry Sayah, who founded Saylite in  1965.
