Summary:
We are a lighting manufacturer who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Account Manager to identify, cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, fostering collaboration between internal departments and retail accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
Location: Greater Atlanta Area / Greater Charlotte Area
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sale of consumer lighting products throughout an assigned account base to meet agreed objectives.
- Calls on customers and prospective customers, to develop strategic relationships with key influencers.
- Prepares market strategy for major products within market segment; introduces new products to market segment; prepares sales forecasts and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Program/Product Managers, to address and resolve any issues or challenges.
- Ensures all inside sales activities including customer service, quotations, project management, and inside sales duties are successfully performed.
- Keeps management informed of economic, competitive, and other factors affecting region with recommendations for improvements/changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) sales experience with major retailers
- Ability to drive and grow business in assigned accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews with retail customers to assess performance, address feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as required.
- Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and analyses related to sales performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends.
- Travel to customer sites, as needed, ranging from 30% to 60% of the time.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field, preferred.
- Lighting and/or consumer electronics experience preferred.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to achieving targets and objectives.
- Willingness to travel extensively, as required, to meet with customers, attend industry events/conventions and work weekends as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Base salary starting at $100,000 per year
