NEMRA Champions Domestic Manufacturing with Launch of “Built Local. Backed by NEMRA.” Campaign

Built Local. Backed by NEMRA

CARMEL, IN, July 9, 2025 – The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) has announced the launch of its bold new initiative, “Built Local. Backed by NEMRA.” More than just a campaign, it represents a strategic commitment to spotlight and support manufacturers across its network who are investing in the future of American industry.

From small-batch operations to expansive production campuses, these U.S.-based facilities are creating jobs, fostering innovation, and strengthening the fabric of local communities. NEMRA’s campaign is designed to shine a national spotlight on companies operating in, building, and expanding their presence on American soil, whether by opening new facilities, upgrading existing operations, or reshoring production.

“Built Local. Backed by NEMRA. is more than a message, it’s a mission,” said Jim Johnson, CEO of NEMRA. “We’re more focused than ever on championing these relationships and ensuring our members have access to the insights, tools, and partnerships that drive sustainable growth. Whether through our annual conference, professional development bootcamps, or broader industry collaboration, we are committed to creating real opportunities for connection, progress, and leadership.”

Throughout the campaign, NEMRA will spotlight manufacturers of all sizes who are making significant investments in domestic manufacturing. Each feature will highlight:

  • Visionary leadership
  • Strategic growth initiatives
  • Local community partnerships
  • Collaborative engagement with NEMRA representatives

The campaign also delivers direct value to NEMRA’s representative members. By spotlighting American-made product lines, it empowers reps with tools for:

  • Differentiation: Helping rep firms highlight manufacturers with U.S.-based operations on their line card, with added marketing support from NEMRA.
  • Business Development: Strengthening alignment with manufacturers who value domestic sourcing.
  • Voice Amplification: Elevating smaller agencies often overlooked in national industry conversations through NEMRA’s LinkedIn and communications channels.

“This initiative is about more than infrastructure, it’s about people, purpose, and progress,” added Johnson. “Together, we can help ensure the strength and longevity of the U.S. electrical channel.
