Sonepar Grows Lighting Certified Team to 29 Professionals
Sonepar continues to invest in lighting education and technical expertise. The company recently recognized six associates who earned their Lighting Certified (LC) credential during the past year. As a result, Sonepar now has 29 LC professionals across its operating companies.
The recognition took place during an in-person gathering of Sonepar’s Lighting Certified associates. The event was held 14–15 May at the Acuity facility in Des Plaines, Illinois. In addition, the gathering gave associates a chance to connect and celebrate an important professional achievement.
Colleen Harper, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Illuminating Engineering Society, welcomed the newly certified associates. She also presented each recipient with an LC lapel pin to mark the accomplishment.
For associates in the Sonepar Lighting Academy, the LC credential represents a major goal. Participants spend significant time building technical knowledge and strengthening their understanding of lighting systems. Ultimately, many view the LC exam as one of the highest milestones in the program.
The Lighting Certified designation holds strong value throughout the industry. It demonstrates knowledge of lighting principles, applications, and technology. Furthermore, it helps professionals build credibility with customers and industry partners.
