BIOS Lighting emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 2026 Best of NeoCon Awards.
BIOS captured four awards, including Gold, Innovation, and Business Impact honors. As a result, BIOS ranked among the most recognized entries in this year’s competition.
The recognition also highlights growing interest in circadian-effective lighting. Designers increasingly seek solutions that support human health and well-being through optimized light spectra.
NeoCon presented the awards on 8 June during a breakfast celebration at THE MART in Chicago. This year, 97 exhibitors submitted 274 products for consideration. Meanwhile, a jury of approximately 45 architects, designers, facility managers, and industry leaders evaluated the entries. The panel included representatives from CannonDesign, Gensler, HDR, HKS, and HOK.
Ultimately, the judges recognized 71 products across 42 categories. Those categories included Gold, Silver, Innovation, Sustainability, and Business Impact awards.
BIOS was one of nine lighting manufacturers to earn recognition. In addition, Arktura, Axis Lighting, Baresque, BuzziSpace, Focal Point, JLC-Tech, Koncept, and RBW also received awards.
Notably, NeoCon expanded its lighting categories this year. Organizers introduced the changes alongside Illuminate, a new show-within-a-show dedicated to lighting. Consequently, the exhibition further highlighted lighting’s growing role in shaping the built environment.
Beyond the lighting categories, KI earned the competition’s highest honor. The company won Best of Competition for Cognetic Technology, a gravity-powered seating system that responds to natural body movement.
Finally, attendees still have an opportunity to influence the results. People’s Choice voting remains open through 9 June at 5:00 p.m. CDT. NeoCon will announce those winners on 10 June.
The complete list of winners is available on the NeoCon website.
