Luminii Acquires Filix Lighting in Strategic Expansion
EdisonReport has confirmed that Luminii has acquired Filix Lighting, bringing together two companies recognized for innovative architectural lighting products.
Marko Jurman, Vice President of Sales for Filix, told your humble editor that discussions began about 18 months ago and became much more active during the past six to seven months.
“We started a year and a half ago, and the process became much more intense over the last six or seven months. Here we are today,” Marko said.
According to Marko, customers should expect continuity rather than major operational changes.

Manufacturing will remain in Croatia, and Nikolai Jurman will continue as CEO of Filix. The most significant change will be the sales channel, as Filix products transition to Luminii’s independent sales representative network.
“My immediate focus is training the new reps,” Marko said. “None of our current Filix representatives are Luminii reps, so we have a lot of education ahead of us.”
Two LightTrades Award Winners
The acquisition brings together two companies whose products have recently been recognized by EdisonReport.
In December, EdisonReport honored Luminii Nova with a 2025 LightTrades™ Award, recognizing it as one of the Top 10 lighting products introduced during 2025.
EdisonReport also recognized Tria by Filix with a LightTrades™ Award. We first saw Tria at Light + Intelligent Building Middle East in Dubai in January 2025, where it stood out for its elegant design and performance.
A Strong Strategic Fit
EdisonReport has followed both companies closely over the years. Luminii has built a strong reputation in architectural lighting throughout North America, while Filix has earned international recognition for its exterior and landscape lighting solutions.
The acquisition expands Luminii’s product portfolio while giving Filix access to a much larger North American sales network. Based on what we’ve seen from both companies, the combination appears to be a natural strategic fit that should strengthen both brands for years to come.
