SATCO Products, Inc. is proud to announce that President Bill Gildin has been named the recipient of the 2024 Rick Wiedemer Guiding Light Award. This prestigious award will be presented on July 27 at the Goombay Bash, an annual fundraiser at Chicago’s Navy Pier, benefiting cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
The H Foundation, founded in 2001, has been a beacon of hope in the fight against cancer, emphasizing that “Cancer is Personal.” Since its inception, The H Foundation has raised over $12 million, donating nearly every dollar as seed money for basic science cancer research projects that have been leveraged into over $250 million of research dollars towards finding a cure. Their grassroots efforts underscore the impact cancer has on real people—families, friends, and communities. This year marks a special recognition for Bill Gildin, whose leadership and resilience have inspired many in the fight against cancer. Following the passing of his wife Melissa to a rare cancer, Bill has shown unwavering dedication to the cause, embodying the spirit of the Goombay Bash.
