Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lighting Applications Engineer to join our outstanding team! This person will work with Engineering and Product Management to support Sales, Quotations, and Marketing with project take-offs, BIM/Revit file creation, and technical support.
Position Responsibilities
- Technical support of full product line for both internal and external customers
- Creation of BIM/Revit files. Maintain and build upon our existing library of Revit families
- Product data required for the creation/update of LM79 and IES files
- Generate detailed lighting calculations and design/computer model point x point drawings utilizing AGI and related software to simulate actual field installation
- Provide project layouts detailing fixture locations, mounting, circuitry, and power supply locations
- Produce linear project take-offs for both internal and external approval prior to release of linear projects into manufacturing
- Provide product recommendations for various applications as requested by internal and external customers
Position Requirements
- BS/BS degree in Lighting Design, Engineering, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel and, AutoDesk AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work independently
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with LED lighting in an applications, project management, or estimating role
- Experience with Lighting Analysts AGI32 a plus
