Satco Files Suit Against UC Santa Barbara

Brentwood, NY – November 18, 2019 – Satco Products, Inc. (“Satco”) announces that it has filed suit in the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York (USDC-EDNY) against The Regents of the University of California at Santa Barbara (“UCSB”) as a result of claim letters  issued to Satco’s customers by counsel to UCSB.

The action brought by Satco seeks a declaration that Satco products, identified in the UCSB claim letters, do not infringe any of the ten patents asserted by UCSB.  A copy of the Satco complaint filed in the EDNY is annexed without exhibits.

Satco aggressively defends its products and seeks to protect its customers from unwarranted claims such as these.

Satco will do what is necessary to defend its products in the future, and looks forward to addressing the merits of these issues in a court of law. Read the full complaint here.
