Technical Sales Support Representative
Position Summary
Based in Orange County California, Tempo Industries is a rapidly growing manufacturer of specification grade LED luminaires. With over 15 years of LED experience, a loyal customer base and a growing product line, we are expanding our inside staff to maintain our industry leading service levels. In the role of Technical Sales Support Representative you will be charged with providing presale support to sales management, independent sales representatives, distributors, installers and end users in the selection, application and procurement of LED lighting products for both theatrical environments and architectural applications.
Qualifications/Skills
- Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base
- Comprehend architectural and lighting terminology
- Proficient in AutoCAD; AGI skills strongly desire but not required
- Ability to fully understand architectural blueprints and engineered drawings
- Fundamental knowledge of LED’s and power supplies
- Basic knowledge of low voltage preferred
- Excellent customer services skills
- Sense urgency and the ability to multitask
- College degree preferred
- Communicate with wide range of customers at all levels of the distribution chain
- Review and evaluate project drawings and specifications
- Generate project bills of materials, layout drawings and project quotations
- Become the acknowledged technical expert with the company’s sales representatives, installers and end users
- Assist with demand planning and resource allocation
- Maintain good relations with prospective and current customers of the company
- Perform order administration duties as required
- Through a consultive selling process recommend appropriate lighting solutions
- Handle a variety of special projects as requested
- Occasional attendance at industry tradeshows and customer site visits
