QUALITY MANAGER

The Quality Manager will create the future direction and overall vision, strategy and implementation plan for Kenall’s Quality organization and product/process systems.  Responsible for Quality Management System development and ongoing compliance.  Manages corrective action systems, process improvements and auditing projects.  Ensures compliance with national and international standards/legislation, and that tests and procedures are properly performed and evaluated.  Manages and maintains the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs.  Leads ISO implementation and all internal/external certification audits.  Organizes and manages quality assurance function.  Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

Will apply Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and other relevant Quality Management tools, utilize statistics and SPC for developing the sciences behind Kenall’s future quality control methods and incorporate these tools where necessary in the newly developed QMS.  Develop product specifications for suppliers and internal expectations, and determine machine capabilities where critical to solid state lighting applications and fixture design and production.

This position requires a Bachelors degree (MBA preferred), 10+ years of quality management experience (minimum 5 years in Quality program implementation and maintenance); electronics component & system quality control experience (preferably solid state lighting background) and the ability to develop a comprehensive Quality department strategy and implementation plans.  Must possess strong leadership, communication, project management and presentation skills.
