Western Regional Sales Manager–PMC Lighting

PMC Lighting is a leading innovator and design manufacturer of specification grade LED and fluorescent light fixtures for commercial, institutional, industrial, and retail applications.  We have over 26 years of experience providing industry-leading lighting solutions characterized by superior visual aesthetics, photometric performance and unique mechanical designs.

We are seeking a Western Regional Sales Manager to develop and cultivate PMC’s product acceptance at various levels of end users (Electrical and Lighting contractors, Industrial Contractors, General Contractors, Specification Specialists, Distributers and Independent Sales Representatives). This position will report directly to the President/Sales Manager and will be charged with the responsibility for the sales of PMC’s line of luminaries in the western USA territory. The Western Sales Manager is expected to meet and exceed assigned quarterly sales quotas.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Achieve targeted sales growth for the western territory at a rate and profit margin consistent with the companies strategic business plan.
  • Manage the relationship and sales performance of our independent representatives for the targeted territory.
  • Contact and secure new business as well as maintain and grow existing business by assisting independent representatives and specifiers with project specifications.
  • Provide current market information such as current trends to assist in the collaboration with in house product development teams.
  • Generate product presentations and provide training to independent representatives; introduce and demonstrate new products to specifiers.
  • Develop and maintain a complete sales plan and forecast for each independent representative.
  • Submit weekly sales reports concerning independent representative / customer-related sales calls and or activities.
  • Identify and target key specifiers through participation in various trade associations and industry conferences.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team on sales meetings, new product rollouts and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide customer feedback to the factory regarding product and market needs, including competitive product and pricing information.

Experience/Requirements

  • BA/BS degree Engineering, Architecture or Business preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience with specification grade lighting manufacturer or agency.
  • Knowledge of the specification market requirements.
  • Working knowledge of photometry, LED’s optics fixture design and mechanics preferred.
