Garching, Germany – Erol Kirilmaz will leave LEDVANCE at his own request as of January 1, 2023. He will hand over the areas of sales and marketing to Bart Mei, who currently successfully leads LEDVANCE’s North American business as “Managing Director US & Canada.”
Erol Kirilmaz spent more than 30 years in management positions at high-tech companies such as Siemens and OSRAM – including 16 years in the lighting industry. Together with his team, he was the driving force behind LEDVANCE’s entry into the LED lighting market, where it now ranks among the top 5 manufacturers in Europe. As a result, LEDVANCE has been able to maintain its position as the global number 2 in general lighting.

Erol Kirilmaz will continue his duties until the end of the year and will also represent the company at the upcoming Light + Building (Hall 3.0, Stand D10). After that, he will successively hand over his duties to Bart Mei.
