Sesco Continues their March North

SESCO Lighting Acquires Engineered Lighting Sales

SESCO Lighting, Inc., headquartered in Maitland, FL and Engineered Lighting Sales, headquartered in Louisville, KY have announced they will join forces to become one company, expanding SESCO Lighting’s footprint into Kentucky. The transition will occur officially on April 1, 2025. This move will combine the existing resources and 460+ employees of SESCO Lighting with the 12 employees of Engineered Lighting Sales.

Engineered Lighting Sales, founded over 31 years ago, has a long, successful history of bringing excellent value to the design and construction community in Kentucky. With continued changes over the years in the Kentucky market, ELS has been a consistent leader year after year within the market, with a trusted, localized staff rooted in the community.

President and CEO of SESCO Lighting, John Palk noted, “We are truly honored to be able to bring the entire Engineered Lighting Sales team into the SESCO family and our Employee-Owned culture. Going back to my days in Knoxville, TN, I always knew just north of us in Kentucky that ELS was a force to be reckoned with and I have had a tremendous amount of respect for the agency and the professionalism they consistently display. The entire ELS team embraces both the model of partnership and independence that runs deep within SESCO, making this a natural fit.”

Founder and President of Engineered Lighting Sales, Ernie Cruse adds: “With the support of our outstanding manufacturer partners, we are excited for the opportunity to combine our dedicated and talented team with the SESCO family. After our initial conversation with the SESCO leadership team, we immediately recognized many similarities in shared culture and goals. We feel it will be a natural transition and know the tremendous expertise and resources of the SESCO team will empower us to better serve the Kentucky market.”
