Presented annually by CE Pro, the CE Pro Masters Awards honor individuals whose careers have helped shape, grow, and strengthen the custom electronics industry through innovation, mentorship, and sustained commitment.
Wakefield brings more than 25 years of experience to the custom integration market, with a career spanning leadership roles across lighting, sales strategy, and channel development. Over the past eight years at DMF Lighting, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in the CI channel, helping integrators elevate lighting from a supporting system to a foundational design and performance element within residential and commercial projects.
Prior to joining DMF, Wakefield spent 16 years at Lutron Electronics. Across both organizations, he has been instrumental in driving product adoption, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening relationships between manufacturers, integrators, designers, and specifiers.
Earlier in his career, Wakefield served as a Naval Flight Officer and Flight School Instructor in the U.S. Navy, an experience that shaped his leadership philosophy and approach to mentorship. Throughout his industry tenure, he has been known as a trusted advocate for integrators, consistently investing time in education, collaboration, and professional development across the channel.
