Dark Day for Lighting v2.0

It got worse!

On Monday, the DJIA fell 634 points or 5.55%.  Lighting fell even more.

Of the stocks EdisonReport tracks, only 2 fared better than the DJIA:  Cooper with a 5.4% loss and Orion with a surprising 7% gain. Compared to the Dow, Cooper could be considered a winner. Everything else was down hill.  LSI was the big loser, shedding almost 14% of its value.

Last Thursday, most lighting stocks lost in the 6% to 7% range, while the DJIA only lost 4.3%.  Monday’s loss was in the 7% to 9% range.

Lighting is clearly oversold. Although the ARRA money that inflated some of these stocks is drying up, our industry is still fundamentally strong.  The industry is getting back to the basics and Tuesday should be a great day to buy lighting!

One of the worst things our readers could do is to sell now.
