EU Court Confirms EU Commission: Signify’s “Enabled” Patent Programme Is Not Contrary to EU Competition Law

The EU General Court today (July 13) rejected a claim that the EU commission was wrong when it concluded last year that Signify’s “Enabled” program is not a contravention of EU competition law.

As far as we understand, the decision may be appealed and as the decision is only a couple of hours old and seems to be only in French and Italian versions so far, we don’t have yet an exhaustive idea of the reasons for the decision.

As far as we understand, it is the first of its kind related to these patents.
