Charlotte, NC, August 16, 2022 – Atlas American Lighting, a wholly owned subsidiary of LSI Industries (NASDAQ: LYTS) that manufactures high-performance, American-made lighting products, said today that a portion of its charitable contributions to the Independence Fund were used to sponsor the August Feeding Independence event held in Charlotte, NC. A team from Atlas also participated in the event.
The Independence Fund created Feeding Independence to directly support our Veteran families with emergent needs during the COVID-19 pandemic and to reduce food insecurity. The August 11th Feeding Independence event served over 200 Veterans in the Charlotte and surrounding communities. The Veterans were served with food, cleaning products, other basic necessities and back to school items.

Atlas donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale of its Independence line of lighting fixtures to the Independence Fund. Founded in 2007, the Independence Fund helps empower America’s wounded, injured or ill veterans overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. The Independence Fund strives to bridge the gap of unmet needs for veterans and their caregivers.

In addition to the company’s support of the Independence Fund, Atlas contributes to the Veterans Airlift Command, an organization that provides free air transportation to combat wounded veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.
