Tokushima, Japan – 17 November 2022: Nichia, the world’s largest LED manufacturer and inventor of high-brightness blue and white LEDs, is pleased to announce the addition of the new NCSWE13A-V1 to its high luminous flux density Direct Mountable Chip portfolio.
The new NCSWE13A-V1 is a 1W-class LED, the same as the existing NCSWE17A-V1 (1.7mm x 1.7mm), but in an even smaller package size (1.3mm x 1.3mm). Additionally, the NCSWE13A-V1 complements the existing 0.2W-class, smaller NFSWE11A-V1, which is 1.1mm x 1.1mm. This increased flux density out of the small E13A-V1 allows the size of the luminaire itself to be reduced, contributing to greater design flexibility. Or, by increasing the number of LEDs, it is possible to increase the luminous flux without changing the size of the luminaire design. As it can reduce the light emitting area when mounted in a tightly dense array, the NCSWE13A-V1 provides optimal color mixing uniformity. This simplifies designs of tunable or multi-color fixtures. The 1.3mm x 1.3mm NCSWE13A-V1 offers massive benefits.
The newly launched NCSWE13A-V1 is suitable for downlights, spotlights, track lights and more, anywhere where both smaller size and higher output are desired.
Nichia continues to develop products that are useful to society.
