Satco Products, Inc. (“Satco”) is pleased to announce that the Patent Trademark Appeal Board has rendered a decision on an inter partes review (IPR) petition filed by Satco challenging the validity of claims 1 and 2 of U.S. Patent No. 10,644,213 owned by the Regents of the University of California (“Regents”).
The ’213 Patent is closely related to two patents that were invalidated in the 1220 ITC proceeding brought by Regents against Satco. Satco has now successfully challenged and invalidated five patents owned by the Regents (U.S. Patent Nos. 10,644,213; 9,859,464; 10,217,916; 9,240,529; and 7,781,789) via IPRs.
