17th NAED Women in Industry Forum Sets Attendance Record
NAED’s 17th Women in Industry Forum, held from June 3-5, 2024, in Arlington, Texas, drew a record 1,100 participants, marking it as the largest NAED event in recent years. Designed for professional women at all career stages, the forum provided actionable takeaways aimed at enhancing both personal and professional lives. Attendees engaged in a variety of activities, starting with a charitable “Calm Down Kits” project in partnership with Girls, Inc. Highlights included a “fireside chat” with Farrah Mittel of Schaedler-Yesco, who shared leadership insights during her acceptance of the Trailblazer award. The event also featured keynote speakers like Randi Braun, who discussed breaking the confidence code, and Molly Murphy of Eaton, who covered industry trends such as electrification and infrastructure. Participants benefited from a range of breakout sessions on topics like negotiation, efficiency, and career development, and networked at events including a Texas Rangers game and a dinner at AT&T Stadium.
