Divorces are messy. Bankruptcies can be even messier.  What happens when a company files for bankruptcy protection and they have freight on the water?  In some cases, the freight company takes possession of that product and that is exactly what has happened this week.

The freight company informed EdisonReport that they are in possession and trying to liquidate 13 containers of lighting and lighting-related equipment that was bound for two national big-box retailers in the U.S.

Currently the cargo (13 containers worth) is sitting in a warehouse in LA.  The commercial invoice and packing lists shows the cost of the goods at roughly $750K.
