Leighton joins Peachtree with previous experience in lighting and building controls, having held leadership roles at Everlast Lighting, MHT Lighting, Siemens’ Enlighted, and Crestron Electronics. Known for his technical expertise and strategic vision, he has consistently delivered results in both legacy product environments and emerging technology platforms.
A recipient of tED Magazine’s “30 Under 35” award in 2013, Leighton has also been widely recognized for his contributions to lighting and energy research. He has published multiple engineering studies, some of which have been featured in the National Academies, reflecting his rigorous approach to performance and application-driven design.
In addition to his technical credentials, Leighton has cultivated a nationwide network of relationships with independent lighting agents, specifiers, and energy consultants. His leadership is already reshaping Peachtree’s go-to-market strategy, with new rep partnerships being formed and a sharper focus on profitability, vendor alignment, and engineering excellence.
