[Nashville, Tennessee] — [August 11, 2026] — The National Lighting Bureau (NLB) and the InterNational Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO) have entered into a memorandum of understanding establishing a formal framework for collaboration between the two organizations.
Both organizations share a commitment to advancing lighting excellence through education, professional development, industry cooperation, and the promotion of high-quality lighting systems that benefit people, businesses, and the built environment. The agreement is intended to enhance the performance, quality, and sustainability of lighting systems and the broader built environment.
Under the memorandum, NLB and NALMCO will share knowledge, experience, data, and best practices while exploring opportunities in lighting education, research, and public outreach. The agreement also provides a framework through which the organizations may develop specific joint initiatives, with the scope, responsibilities, milestones, and governance of each project defined separately.

The memorandum is effective as of August 10, 2026, and establishes a five-year term, unless ended earlier by either organization in accordance with the agreement.
